Diagonal Lavender Love Bird Invitations

Back in January of this year, I met up with Mimi and Matt to chat about wedding invitations and to show them some samples. Before our meeting, I had sketched out a few ideas on paper, and they really fell in love with one of the diagonal designs, and wanted to incorporate that with love birds and initials. The wording that they chose for their invitation was very fun and unique:

mimi and matt

have been travel companions,

scrabble foes, kindred spirits,

study buddies, partners in crime,

and French bulldog parents.

But most of all they have been best friends.

Please join them, along with their families,

as they become husband and wife.

How sweet is that? Mimi and Matt are getting married next weekend at the beautiful Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts. The invitations are made of pearlescent white metallic cardstock, with gray and lavender text, and a cute pair of love birds flying into each other from the sides. A silver metallic cardstock backing was layered onto the invitation, along with matching envelopes.
