This past weekend, Fiona and I were the day of coordinators for Theresa and Marty's wedding. After a long week of rainy weather predictions for Saturday, the skies seemed to clear just for them! It didn't rain at all, and it was cool, dry, and beautiful for their big day.
They got married at St. Mary's in Charlestown, and then had a reception for 150 guests at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. The Georgian Room was decorated with floral centerpieces of peonies, hydrangeas, and roses, in hues of white, green, and orange. Their favors were sugar cookies placed in heart shaped boxes made by one of the bride's relatives in the Philippines. Instead of a traditional guest book, there was a wishing tree where guests wrote their wishes on cards, and tied them to the tree branches with ribbon.
Their wedding day was filled with so much joy and love. During the toasts, the bride's father brought everyone to tears and even received a standing ovation from all of the guests! Another sweet moment was when everyone cheered when the bride's grandparents were the last couple dancing during the "Anniversary Dance" for being married for 60 years =)
Here's a sneak peek of some wedding details!
When the professional photos arrive, we'll definitely share them with you, and talk about more details from this fabulous wedding! If you're looking for a day of coordinator for your wedding, email us at info@pinkorchidweddings.com.
