Boston Wedding Coordination: Daniella and Mark's Taj Boston Hotel Wedding!

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of coordinating Daniella and Mark's wedding at the Taj Boston Hotel.  Before I get into any details, I just have to show a couple of preview pics from their amazing photographer, Leah Haydock of Leah Haydock Photography. She posted these on Facebook only a few hours after the wedding!

They are such a stunning couple!!  Ok, back to the details :)  The entire wedding party got ready at the Taj Boston Hotel, where the girls got their hair done by Maricruz Hairstyles, and makeup by Jeannie Vincent.  The nine bridesmaids wore floor length Jenny Yoo navy chiffon dresses paired with white bouquets wrapped in matching navy ribbon.  The bride wore a gorgeous strapless satin gown from La Sposa along with a dramatic cathedral length veil and white satin Badgley Mischka heels with crystal embellishments.  The bridal bouquet consisted of white roses, peonies, and ranunculus, and to add a very touching tribute to her late stepfather, the shoulder board of his navy uniform was tied to the bouquet handle.

The bride and groom decided to see each other prior to the ceremony for a "first look" and it was so sweet to see them meet in the Boston Public Gardens.  Limos from Joy Ride Limo and buses from Eagle One Coach transported the wedding party and guests from the Taj Boston Hotel to the ceremony at St. Ignatius Church at Boston College.  Following the ceremony, the wedding party had their portraits taken on the BC main campus while guests made their way back to the Taj Boston Hotel.

The cocktail hour was held on the rooftop of the Taj Boston Hotel, with small white floral arrangements on top of cocktail tables surrounded by white chiavari chairs.  Guests wrote "advice and wishes for the newlyweds" onto little cards that they placed into a mailbox with "The Nylen's" written on the side.  Hors d'oeuvres included proscuitto mozzarella crostini, miniature crab cakes, spicy chicken empanadas with cajun remoulade, and truffled fontina risotto fritters.

The reception was held in the grand ballroom of the hotel which was decorated with amber colored uplighting, champagne damask linens and lush white floral centerpieces from Madison Floral.  Guests enjoyed a three course meal of a tartar of marinated salmon, American caviar, herb salad, capers, and citrus dressing, entrĂ©e duo of crusted beef tenderloin and baked half lobster, and a gorgeous wedding cake made in-house.  The four tiered chocolate wedding cake with Bailey's Irish cream and caramel bavarian had gold satin ribbon on the base of each layer, and little patterned swiss dots and white sugar flowers along the front of the cake.

This wedding had lots of fun surprises for guests.  The first was a photobooth from Shutterbooth Boston where guests took lots of crazy photos with a variety of props.  Next was an ice cream bar with toppings galore and three different flavors of ice cream.  Then there were the multiple favors - the first were personalized distressed navy baseball caps with a white clover on the front, and the couple's last name initial on the back along with their wedding date.  The second were personalized sunglasses in multiple colors that had "Dani & Mark" on the side along with a heart and their wedding date.  These sunglasses were distributed on the dance floor by the wedding party during the song "I Wear My Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Hart.  Let's just say, everyone LOVED all of the goodies!  DJ Mike Amado from Entertainment Specialists did an amazing job as the emcee and DJ for the evening.  Justin Mayer of Mayer Video was the cinematographer for the day, and as mentioned before, Leah Haydock was their wedding day photographer.  For now, here are some detail photos that I took!

Dani and Mark, you are such an incredibly sweet couple, and SO organized!! You made my job really easy and I absolutely loved working with you :) I'm so jealous of your upcoming honeymoon plans for Dubai and the Maldives!
