Details from the Beantown Bride Soiree!

One really fabulous event this past July that Fiona and I took part in was the Beantown Bride Soiree. It was held in the Skyline Ballroom at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel, and it was such a treat to be able to mingle and network with so many vendors in the wedding industry. Even though we knew many people there because of working with them on past weddings, there were so many that we didn't know, and people that we were very excited to meet!

Beantown Bride is a great resource for brides-to-be who are planning a wedding in and around the Boston area. They feature planning tips, and real weddings that are all local. That way, if you see a gorgeous flower arrangement, or absolutely love the photographer, you can easily see who the vendors are and book them for your own wedding! So many blogs feature weddings across the nation, and not just specific to one area, so that's why Beantown Bride is so unique and very helpful for local brides.

The Beantown Bride Soiree attendees were all wedding industry professionals in the Boston area, and Beantown Bride's creative director, Brittany Blando, selected a few to help out with the event.

Cakes and cookies were provided by Cakes for Occasions.
Marshmallow desserts were provided by Sweet Lydias.
Cupcakes and other desserts were provided by Cakes by Nichole.
Uplighting was provided by RC Uplighting.
The DJ was from The Beantown Sound.
Table linens were provded by Table Toppers of Newton.
The photobooth was provided by Shutter Booth Boston.
Photography and videography was by Clark+Walker Studio.
Cocktails were provided by Bols Genever & Roi Rene Rouge.

Fiona and I (Pink Orchid Weddings of course!) created the signage for each of the vendor tables, made the Beantown Bride tags for all of the gift bags, and were on hand to help with coordination of the setup. Here are a few photos from the event, courtesy of Clark+Walker Studio and Beantown Bride.

Later on in the night, we were able to steal Brittany away from the crowd for a couple of minutes to have some fun in the photobooth from Shutter Booth Boston! They had a variety of props to choose from, and so we started off silly, tried to get serious with some bond girl poses, and then ended with one normal shot. Here is a little bit of proof that we're not all work and no play =)

Clark+Walker Studio also filmed during the night, and got a great interview of Brittany talking about Beantown Bride. Definitely check out the short video below for some footage of the event!

Brittany, thank you so much for inviting us to be part of such an amazing event! On top of being a really talented photographer, you really have gone above and beyond to create such a helpful site for brides.
